Stephen Cordina, who is best known for his luxurious, scented candles and range of body-care products under the name of Stephen Cordina Aroma & Therapy, recently exhibited his creations at a stand at inVoyage 2015. The event was held between Monday 5 and Wednesday 7 October at the prestigious Kempinski Barbados Bay Hotel in Bodrum, Turkey.
Focusing exclusively on the luxury segment of the incentive travel, corporate meetings and events sector, each year inVoyage brings together buyers and suppliers, with delegates from the world’s leading hotel chains, including Mandarin Oriental, Dorchester Collection and Jumeirah, paying a visit. The tailored, all-inclusive programme also makes it possible for delegates to have one-to-one meetings with those showcasing their products.
“We gave each of the visiting delegates a gift, which meant we were invited to participate in the event as a sponsor,” explains Stephen Cordina, the owner and managing director of Stephen Cordina Aroma & Therapy. “Moreover, everyone at this trade event is a potential buyer, making it a great space to showcase one’s work and to fly the flag of their country – in my case, Malta’s.”
This is not the first time Stephen Cordina has showcased his work abroad. In fact, over the past few months, Mr Cordina has been to Budapest to set up a contract with Corinthia Budapest, and also to Monte Carlo to promote his bespoke service for the Super Yacht Show.
Locally, Cordina continues to create one of the most creative brands in his sector, with his products being used and on-sale throughout the islands, including the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard. Stephen also exports to seven European markets.
More recently, his brand, Stephen Cordina Aroma & Therapy, launched its new 15-litre candle during the Birgu Fest Candlelight event, at their lounge, located at the entrance of Birgu. Visitors were also able to buy Cordina products with the brand’s new flagship packaging for the first time at an event. Previously this packaging was only available on the export market. It is now also available throughout Malta.
“I think it’s very important that Maltese entrepreneurs expand their horizons, not just for their business to grow, but also for our Island to showcase its talent and all that its people have to offer,” he concludes.
