One of the men who was critically injured in an explosion at the 12 May fireworks factory in Zebbug last Wednesday is now in a stable condition, according to police.

The man, 57, from Ta' Xbiex, had suffered severe burns to the upper part of his body. A younger man who had been with him - a 33-year-old from Msida, only suffered slight burns.
