Police make 9pm raid in Rabat garage where two cousins are arrested for the illegal manufacturing of pyrotechnical explosives

Police found a cache of explosives inside a garage on Triq Mro Giuseppe Giardini Vella, Rabat, Gozo, on Friday.
Two men from Rabat have been arrested.
The explosive was pyrotechnic material, that was being stored inside a garage beneath entertainment spot Ku Club, which forms part of the Astra Theatre.
The raid was carried out at 3pm. La Stella Band Club and Astra Theatre President Paul Cassar told MaltaToday that the two men, cousins, were arrested because the garage was in their care.
Cassar denied that the two had been caught red-handed.
Police investigations are underway together with a magisterial inquiry. Police have secured the area.
