Three people to be arraigned in Gozo Court over theft

Three Romanian people are to be arraigned in court in Gozo today over theft from a jewellery store in Triq il-Palma, Victoria.

The theft dates back to 26th August, and those responsible were identified and arrested after joint efforts from the Victoria police station and the criminal investigation department.

Four thieves had made off with gold and silver from the Victoria store, and investigations later revealed that the thieves had arrived in Gozo on August 25, left Gozo for Malta after the burglary and left Malta a day later.

The police added that they had requested an international arrest warrant for the thieves to be held and sent to Malta to face criminal proceedings.
