Man suspected of robbing jewellery shop held by police

The Police have arrested a person suspected of stealing jewellery from a shop in Valletta.

The robbery took place on Tuesday at around 11.30am in Republic Street.

The shop’s owner said a man had walked into his shop and stole the jewellery, whose value is substantial.

Further investigations led the police to the man who is being held for questioning.
