Two men held by Gozo police after trying to steal from cars

Two men have been charged in court over attempts to steal from cars in Gozo.

In a statement, the police said that two men, aged 20 and 24, residing in Xewkija, were arrested after a private citizen alerted the police.

The two, from Somalia, were accused of trying to steal from an Isuzu and other vehicles. One of them was also accused of violating a previous court order.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges and the two were remanded in custody.
