Man charged with causing another person grievous injuries while drunk

The man was arraigned at the court in Gozo, and also accused of disturbing the peace and being drunk and unable to care for himself

A Somali national living in Zebbug, Gozo was today arraigned in court, accused of grievously injuring another person.

The 22-year-old man was also accused, in the Gozitan court, of disturbing the peace during the night time, of being intoxicated in public and unable to care for himself, and of relapsing.

The alleged crimes took place on 10 December, in an establishment located in Triq il-Port, Zebbug, Gozo.

The man pleaded not guilty to the charges, and was granted bail, with the court imposing a number of conditions on him.

Magistrate Joanne Vella Cuschieri presided.
