A 45-year-old man who was taken into police custody and managed to escape from the Qormi police station has been apprehended.

The police said in a statement that the man, a Libyan national named Abdulsalam Ben Hamed had been on the run since 12:50pm, prompting a nationwide man-hunt

The police thanked the public for their cooperation and help in locating the man.
