Con man pleads guilty to charity scam
St Paul’s Bay resident pleads guilty to embezzlement using a two-month long period special needs con.
Joseph Meilaq, 29, of St Paul’s Bay, was yesterday accused of embezzling several people over a period of two months and failing to represent an entity that works with people with special needs.
Meilaq pleaded guilty to the charges and is being held in preventive custody.
Inspector Mallia prosecuted.
