Labour leader Joseph Muscat tweeted that he will announce a new policy decision for 'a fairer society'.
Labour leader Joseph Muscat has tweeted he will announce his 'Fair Society' proposal today evening, as fellow party officials and candidates joined a Twitter stream on hashtag #afairsociety this morning.
"Today I will announce how a New Government will commission Social Impact Assessments on major economic decisions #afairsociety - JM" - Muscat said at 11:01am.
MaltaToday was told Muscat plans to launch a policy decision to have all major decisions by a new Labour government to be vetted in the form of a social impact assessment.
The policy will be formally announced at 6:30pm at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, with a discussion panel composed of youth studies academic Andrew Azzopardi, social worker Prof. Angela Abela, gerontologist Marvin Formosa, and Emanuel Darmanin.
