Woman admits to filing false police report

Tiziana Cutajar, 25 from Zejtun, this morning pleaded guilty to setting up evidence against two people and to filing a false police report.

The court heard how she made a profit of more than €2,329.37 to the detriment of an insurance company and another person.

Cutajar's frame-up included the misuse of legal documents.

The woman was thus sentenced to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.

Police inspector Carol Fabri led the prosecution.
