1,567 migrants came to Malta in 10 months
1,567 migrants made it to the Maltese shores by sea between January and October of this year.

The migrants who came to Malta this year all arrived by sea, the Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi this evening said in parliament that 1,567 migrants came to Malta in 10 months.
The Prime Minister, who is now responsible of the home affairs portfolio, was replying to a question raised by Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis.
Today, a further 77 migrants were rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta off Delimara. The group included nine women, three of which were pregnant.
