GWU lifts industrial directives as Enemalta agreement reached

Enemalta Corporation and the General Workers’ Union, through the meditation of Dr. Noel Vella, Director of Industrial Relations, have reached an agreement with regards to the ongoing industrial disputes on the Credit Control Section.

Thanks to this agreement, the team has now been given new roles within Enemalta Corporation which will help and support customer services offered by the Corporation.

This agreement was possible thanks to the intervention of the Minister for Finance Economy and Investment, Tonio Fenech during the negotiations led by Ing. Karl Camilleri, Enemalta Corporation’s CEO and Mr Tony Zarb General Workers’ Union’s Secretary General.

At this stage, both the General Workers’ Union and Enemalta Corporation have agreed to cease immediately any directives and to continue with the ongoing reforms that are now being discussed at Enemalta.
