ARMS Ltd | UHM urges government to 'ensure' consumer protection
The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) has lashed out at ARMS, the utility bills administrator, and labelled it as “incompetent” and "insensitive,” while accusing it of acting in total disregard towards consumers.
In a statement, UHM stressed that ARMS Limited is far from reaching the levels of efficiency it had once promised not only in billing, but also in supplying useful information about utility bills to the consumer.
“The service has remained mediocre and it has completely ignored all calls for improving its service.”
UHM said that the fault lays directly in the hands of an :”incompetent administration,” that is poor in administration.
“As a consequence to this, hundreds of consumers are lamenting the terrible service, while also causing unnecessary hardships across the social spectrum,” the UHM said.
While also accusing ARMS Limited of being “insensitive” towards the people and consumers, UHM lambasted the company for issuing bills to consumers after long months, while also expecting them to pay up in a short period of time.
UHM called on government to assume its responsabilities and to assure it sticks to its obligation to ensure that ARMS Limited is operated in a professional manner.
“The company lacks planning and professionalism,” the UHM said, adding that consumers must be assisted into paying back their utility bills within reasonable time.
It urged government to protect the consumers from the inefficiencies at ARMS Limited.
