In the Press: Former police chief denies leaking confidential files

Former head of police Peter Paul Zammit denied accusations that he illegally copied and passed on confidential documents to the press. A Data Protection Commission investigation determined that the files were in Zammit's possession at the time there were leaked, though not necessarily by Zammit himself. The Times of Malta retracted a headline, published in yesterday's newspaper, that implied Zammit's guilt.

Environmental groups in Gibraltar are refusing to get on board with a proposal by the government to build an LNG-powered gas station, stating 'unacceptable risk levels' as their main safety concern.
