The Medical Association of Malta (MAM) and the health ministry have come to an agreement about the government’s agreement with Vitalis Global Healthcare for the privatization for the Gozo general hospital, and St. Luke’s and Karin Grech hospital projects.

The decision came after a number of meetings between health parliamentary secretary Chris Fearne, and various MAM representatives including president Gordon Caruana Dingli and secretary general Martin Balzan.

A government statement explains that the document that was agreed upon will now be examined by respective legal teams.

MAM further noted that discussions between the government and the university of Malta were also in an advanced stage.
