Labour organ says Xarabank 'civil servant' planted to praise PM in leaders' debate
Labour organ KullHadd claims interventions from the audience in last week’s Xarabank when the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition were the protagonists of a heated debate, were planted.
According to the Labour organ Kulhadd, the programme was "filled with propaganda aimed at boosting praise for the Prime Minister’s work."
The newspaper says that a member of the audience, Toni Attard, an actor and also government employee, spoke about the creative economy and praised the government’s decision to allocate money to this sector.
It reports that Attard failed to mention that he works with government, his post being that of “taking care of the creative economy in Malta.”
According to the same newspaper, the Prime Minister referred to him as a “sir” while “knowing well who he was.”
