The Valletta local council has criticised the local wardens that have been assigned to the capital city for failing to take action against several irregularities.

In a statement, the council said that wardens have failed to take action against contractors whose construction equipment in the middle of the streets have hindered local activities.

They also called out the wardens for failing to take necessary action against illegal parkers, people who take out their rubbish at the wrong time, and shop owners who set out tables and chairs in the street without a permit.

“This situation is causing great inconvenience to Valletta residents and visitors alike, who rightfully want to see the capital’s streets maintained properly.”
