Luqa accident leaves woman seriously injured

The 79-year-old woman was injured in an accident on Triq il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa on Monday afternoon

A 79-year-old woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Hal-Luqa.

The woman, who lives in the locality, was hit by a Nissan Terrano which was being driven by a 28-year-old Zejtun resident.

An ambulance was called on site to take the woman to Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are still underway.
