Betfair batted first with Andy Naudi and Justin Brooke opening the batting. Things were almost in turmoil when Brooke just made his ground going for a quick single. He could have been run out without facing a ball. Brooke after surviving that, kept on shutting out good bowling from Nowell Khosla and Kevin Krishna. He finally was bowled by Krishna for fourteen runs. Krishna also trapped Naudi lbw when he had made twenty one runs. Glen Tavilla and Andy Lenard both made twenty two runs. Lenard was dismissed by a great running catch along the boundary by Darren Grech.

Dave Mansfield did not bother the scorers any, while Malcolm Crabbe made ten runs. Chris Naudi thirteen runs, George Agius nineteen runs (was bowled by Daniel Galea), Sumair Khan scoring his highest score in Malta to date of fourteen runs. Thomas Rusher scored two runs before being bowled by Stuart Clarke. Eamon Dolan and Adam Krishna remained unbeaten on four runs a piece. The Betfair team totalled with extras, 165 runs from their allotted forty overs. For Krishna, Kevin Krishna and Bikram Arora were the main wicket takers with two each. Krishna used ten bowlers.

In reply the Krishna had a disastrous start losing both openers Nowell Khosla and Robert Krishna for two runs each, Javed Shah for ten runs and Bikram Arora for six runs. Not the start any team wants. Still there was hope with John Grima and Derek Ali at the crease that began to build a partnership. They made eighteen runs and twenty five runs respectively. Once they were back in the pavillon the Krishna team only had Ronnie Sacco to look upon, unfortunately he was bowled after making three runs. Will Nicholls and Sam Aquilina put some fight towards the end of the innings scoring eleven and twelve runs. Unfortunately the Krishna team only made 112 runs and the series is now tied at one a piece.

Next Saturday sees the start of the second round of the 20 over Winter league, with the Marsa C.C playing Krishna C.C. This will be the last game for the year as will be the Sunoco Cricket academy/nursery which will be from 9:00 till 10:30am.
