Malta to take part in the 2014 IBSF 6 Reds & World Team Snooker Championships

The championships will be played on 18 tables at the International Sports Development Centre in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

In the Team Championships there are three categories, those for the Ladies, Men and Masters (Over 40). Malta will be participating in the Men’s event with Team Malta composed of current European Team Champions Alex Borg & Duncan Bezzina.

A record of 94 teams from 31 countries will compete in the three categories with 64 taking part in the Men’s event. The 64 teams were drawn into eight groups of eight teams with the top four in each group qualifying into the last 32 knock-out stages. Matches in the round robin stages will be over the best of 5 frames.

Meanwhile the two players will also be taking part in the 6 reds World Individual Championship which will be played alongside the Team events. 174 players have registered to play in this Championship.
