PBS fails to transmit England-Germany face-off
Thousands of England football fans were left disappointed as national broadcaster PBS didn't transmit the England-Germany FIFA World Cup Round of the last 16. The game was conceded to private cable broadcaster Melita, while RAI TV conceded the quarter final to Sky Italia.
The decision by PBS not to air the game live, but to broadcast a repeat of the game later in the day on Education 22, sent thousands fuming.
