Two men mugged in St Julian’s, police arrest aggressors

Two Brits assaulted in St Julian’s by three Libyan nationals, police arrest aggressors shortly afterwards

Two British nationals were this morning mugged in St George’s Road, St Julian’s by three men, who were arrested shortly after the incident.

The two Brits, one of which works and lives in Malta, suffered slight injuries after being assaulted at around 6:45am by three Libyan nationals.

The three men made of with a mobile phone and a small amount of money, however police district officers soon apprehended them.

After being notified of the incident, police officers Ramon Mifsud Grech and Sean Axiak reached the spot and arrested the three Libyans who were identified by their victims.

The stolen objects were returned and the three men are expected to be arraigned in the coming hours.
