Three buses destroyed in fierce fire

Three buses were destroyed and two were slightly damaged in a fire at the Park and Ride in Floriana late yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 10pm near the Porte de Bombes. Several firefighters were called in to control the fire as it threatened to take hold on another two buses nearby.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and no one was injured.

Police investigations are ongoing while an inquiry is underway.
