Two drivers struck by driver-less bus at Valletta bus terminal
Two bus drivers injured after trying to stop driver-less bus from crashing into construction site
Two bus drivers were seriously injured after getting hit by a driver-less bus at the Valletta Bus Terminus at 9:30 am.
Police say that the bus was parked in the terminus when it started to move backwards towards a construction site. Two male drivers, a 31-year-old from Zabbar and a 34-year-old from Birkirkara, tried to hop onto the bus to prevent an accident, but the bus consequently hit them and crashed into two parked cars, a concrete block and a barrier where construction works are taking place.
The drivers were taken to Mater dei Hospital, where they were certified as having suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing
