Thief targets 90-year-old woman in Sliema

An elderly woman suffered grievous injuring during an early morning robber in Sliema.
The woman, 90, was on her way to Sunday mass when the aggressor hit, pulling the handbag from her hands and pushing her to the ground.
The incident, the police said, took place at 6am in Triq il-Knisja. The police found the woman sitting down, awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.
The elderly woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where she was found to have suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations underway.
