A 57-year old man from Mellieha fell to his death while he was carrying out works on his roof

A 57-year-old man has died after falling three storeys from the roof of his residence in Etna Street, Mellieha.

According to the police, the man, identified as Brian Spiteri, fell as he was carrying out works on the roof at roughly 7.15pm. A medical team was called to assist him, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Duty Magistrate Dr C. Scerri Herrera has been informed of the case and several experts have been appointed to assist in the inquiry.

Police investigations are also ongoing.
