French youth suffers grievous injuries in fall

A 20-year-old French male youth is recovering at Mater Dei Hospital after suffering grievous injuries in a fall early this morning.

At roughly 5.00am the police were informed that an incident had taken place in Triq Mikiel Anton Vasssalli in St. Julian’s, in the vicinity of the tunnels on that same road.

Police arrived to find that someone was calling for help, and after preliminary investigations it transpired that the youth had fallen from a height of about three stories into a field.

Members of the Civil Protection Department rescued the youth before he was taken to hospital.

Police investigation are still ongoing.
