Police identify body found at sea as French student

The decomposing body found at sea some one mile off St Julian’s on Wednesday has been confirmed to be the missing Frenchman who remained missing after jumping off a party boat on Friday evening.

The 19-year-old man was at an event on the Fernandes on Friday night, and jumped into the sea along with several other individuals who were on the same boat.

He was not seen after that despite and a late-night helicopter search and rescue operation which continued on Saturday.
