Motorcyclist grievously injured in Mriehel crash

The 58-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment, following an early morning collision with another vehicle, on Mriehel bypass

A 58-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car this morning, on the Mriehel bypass.

Police were informed of the crash at 7:30am, when a Kawasaki VN800 collided with a Hyundai i20.

The biker, from Ghajnsielem, was taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment and the 19-year-old driver, from Qormi, was treated for shock.

Police investigations are ongoing.
