Six arrested following drug inspections

Six men were arrested on Monday night after the police found them to be in the possession of a variety of drugs.

One of them is expected to be charged in court on Wednesday.

In a statement, the police said the men were aged between 17 and 38.

The men were arrested during inspections carried  out by the police at bars and clubs in Gżira and Paceville.

The poilce said two Maltese and three Libyans were found in possession of cannabis while another Maltese man, from Senglea was found in possession of 100 ecstasy pills.

An inquiry is being held.
