Nationalist backbencher criticises PN's internal politics

Nationalist MP Beppe Fenech Adami criticises the way certain things are being run within the Nationalist's Party.

In an interview in today’s Illum newspaper, son of former Nationalist president Eddi Fenech Adami said, “When I look at the Nationalist Party today and how it used to be, there are a number of people who found themselves in high positions without going up step-by-step. When we come to these positions in the party, we need to see that all persons finding themselves in the upper floor made it there using the stairs and not the lift.”

He believes that the Maltese courts can be made more efficient if everyone were to do their utmost to resolve cases as quickly as possible.

“Everyone needs to make an effort. Start with the judges, then lawyers and all parties involved. Unfortunately, it often happens that one part of the case intended to prolong proceedings and succeeds.”

“I believe the Courts would run better if there is a willingness by all parties. There should be a time limit within which evidence is gathered and a central list system where each party can plan their case without confusion and additional pressure. This requires everyone’s willingness to accept the need for change in the culture of how the Courts are being run today.”

Maybe Beppe was inspired by his dady's rise, being first co-opted by the leader he deposed later by back stabbing him. Daddy use the stairs, the lift or the shoulders of others?
