Mcast students met Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and presented a short preview of a video projection they created, which will be shown as part of the national celebrations in Valletta for Malta's 10th anniversary of EU membership on April 30.

The students were entrusted by the Fondazzjoni Celebrazzjonijiet Nazzjonali to present a 20-minute video projection that would lead to a fireworks show at exactly midnight in Valletta's grand harbour.

The students are graduating from media and graphic design from Mcast.

The video will revolve around a ten-year old girl named Sara who will represent Malta's journey in the EU during the past ten years.

"We opted for something creative. Instead of recording the traditional documentary we chose to show the journey of a child from birth till ten years of age. In every sequence there will be a symbolic reference to Malta," the students explained to the Prime Minister.

Mcast chairman Silvio Debono thanked Muscat for this faith in Mcast students and said that they were grateful that work produced in Mcast will be shown to the whole country.

"This celebration will serve as a showcase of our students' talents and potential," Debono concluded.
