A man is in critical condition after what police suspect was a bomb caused his car to explode on the road towards Marsaxlokk. Restaurateur Darren Degabriele suffered severe burns while his passenger, his girlfriend Stephanie Tonna, was slightly injured.

Speaking at a political event yesterday, PN leader Simon Busuttil said that after winning the third EP seat, the party wants to make it clear that it has understood the electorate's message and will strive to make the changes that will bring it close to the people.

PM Joseph Muscat made several announcements yesterday as a political event in Nadur yesterday. He announced plans to build a new MCAST campus in Gozo, thereby bringing students together from a number of separate buildings. Muscat said this was in line with Labour's push to bring business and prosperity to Gozo. He also mentioned possible policy changes such as incentivizing private pension funds and combining local council and EP elections in future.
