Libyan sources tell this newspaper that Libyan airspace may be closed as soon as today. Confusion on air space and air traffic management has flights leaving from the Mitiga military airport on a 'case by case' basis. The Maltese embassy in Tripoli has remained open.

PN leader Simon Busuttil has called on the government to protect national interests in Libya, in the wake of the abduction of a 42-year old Maltese man that the government kept quiet for almost a week.

L-Orizzont

Director of the Dar Guzeppa Debono facility Maria Attard has called for better sex education for teenagers in a bid to fight an alarming rise in the rate of teenage pregnancy. Attard recommended better training for teachers and for separate sex education classes for boys and girls. So far, 20 young mothers had approached the facility for help and girls as young as 13 were becoming mothers.

Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar coordinator Astrid Vella has called the actions of the President of the Malta Developers Association 'obscene'. Sandro Chetcuti was a counting agent for the PL in May's MEP elections, something Vella says sends out the wrong message through 'extreme lobbying'.
