Prime Minister Joseph Muscat addressed another seminar on the citizenship sale roadshow the Maltese government has carried out, this time in London.

Malta is selling citizenship for €650,000 apart from commitments for €350,000 in property investment and €150,000 in financial investments.

The government said the London seminar was organised on the initiative of the Individual Investor Programme concessionaires Henley & Partners.

“Muscat extolled the need for innovation to remain the key to success by encouraging new investment. In the same way that Malta harnessed independence and then progressed in sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, finance and remote gaming, the island now needed to follow through in the innovation of the concept of citizenship,” the government said in a statement.

“Muscat said Malta was interested in foreign investors’ talents to be added to that of Malta, to increase competitiveness in the country’s economy.”
