Teen hospitalised after getting struck by hunter's lead pellet

Hunter reportedly threatens 16-year-old birdwatcher after his stray bullet hit his foot.

A 16-year-old was hospitalised this morning after being struck by a lead pellet shot by a hunter.

Newsbook.com.mt reported that the young Dutchman was bird-watching with his friends in the limits of Pembroke when a hunter’s lead pellet hit his foot. When the teenager approached the hunter, the hunter reportedly offended him and threatened to attack him.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital at 7am where he was certified as having suffered light injuries.

According to Newsbook, police could arrest the hunter in question.
