In the Press: Actor John Suda bailed after indecent assault allegations

Prominent actor John Suda was granted bail yesterday after pleading not guilty to violent indecent assault on a young woman. Suda allegedly assaulted and held the actress against her will during an acting exercise.

A peaceful protest was held in Valletta yesterday, calling for better treatment of migrants. Participants cited problems with access to healthcare and education, despite having spent a number of years living in Malta. Some also said that official identification documents were sometimes not recognized by local authorities.

The family of a mentally ill man, who it alleges was duped into selling a piece of property to parliamentary secretary Ian Borg for a very low sum, said that the OPM had refused to intervene in the case when its help had been sought a year ago.
