The Valletta 2018 Foundation has proposed a public-private partnership scheme to make property in the capital city more affordable.

Addressing the fourth Valletta forum meeting at the Camarata building in Merchants’ Street, V18 chairman Jason Micallef announced the foundation’s proposals to the ‘Valletta Masterplan’, a draft policy document that will be released for public consultation over the coming weeks

The V18’s proposals also include plans for a childcare centre and a day-care centre for the elderly in Valletta.

Marco Vella, Assistant Head of San Ġorġ Preca College, Valletta Primary School, told the forum about his school’s students’ involvement in Valletta 2018 projects, such as Discover Valletta, Belti, and refurbishment works being undertaken at the school’s theatre.
