In the Press: Schembri's Panama company estimates almost €44,665 monthly income

The newspaper reports details from Panama Papers documents which show Tillgate Inc, the Panama trading company set up by Keith Schembri, estimated receiving about €44,665 a month from consultancy and management services.

Part of the income coming from the Individual Investor Programme (IIP) is expected to go to the eco-contribution fund, which will be used exclusively for projects aimed at improving tourism, the newspaper says.

The newspaper describes the reaction of PN leader Simon Busuttil to PM Joseph Muscat's refusal to accept the decision taken by court yesterday, as a result of which two additional MPs will be granted to PN. Busuttil claims that this will only fuel his determination in his plight for honest politics.

The newspaper refers to email exchanges in its possession which show that the chief electoral commissioner Joseph Church was aware of irregularities in voting applications of IIP citizenship buyers before the situation was flagged by the opposition.
