Employees of Id-Dar tal-Providenza to receive equal pay for equal work

All workers at the Church respite home are to receive the same wage as of this month

Id-Dar tal-Providenza has announced that it is to ensure that all workers receive equal pay for the same jobs and eliminate discrimination, following a request to this effect, made by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna.

With effect from 1 December 2016, all community workers seconded to any of its locations will be given an allowance equal to the difference between the minimum wage that they are earning as employees of the Community Workers Scheme Enterprise Foundation and what they would be earning in their equivalent grade as employees of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.

This allowance will be paid by Id-Dar tal-Providenza on a monthly basis and will be included as part of its payroll process.
