Former anti-corruption prosecutor and politician Antonio Di Pietro will tomorrow address a demonstration organised by Civil Society Network

Justice minister Owen Bonnici and Attorney General Peter Grech today met with former member of the Italian Judiciary and former Italian Minister and MEP Antonio di Pietro.

Di Pietro will tomorrow address a demonstration calling for justice being organised by Civil Society network, who are calling for Grech to resign as AG.

The former anti-corruption prosecutor turned Polician shot to fame in the 1990s when he spearheaded a number of magistrates on the Mani Pulite team, which investigated political corruption. He was later elected to Italian Senate in a by-election in 1998 and founded his own movement, Italia dei Valori (Italy of Values), which fought against political corruption in Italy. At the end of 2014, he left Italy of Values and became an independent.
