Former PM tweets denial that he is in Malta for English course

The former Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, has denied Polish press reports that he was in Malta learning English.

Tusk’s use of the language was often the target of media criticism, and Polish news claimed the President-designate of the European Council planned to master the English language in Malta.

But Donald Tusk denied the information that he was currently in Malta for a language course funded by the European Union. "I'm preparing for my first Council in Warsaw. Linguistically and substantively. Did not use EU funds" - Tusk wrote on Twitter, referring to claims that he had used EU funds.
