Share your views on climate change in a Maltese meet-and-greet in Qawra

Community get-together at Ronald McDonald House Charities in Qawra to discuss climate change and pollution

NWAMI International Malta will be hosting a ‘MEET & GREET’ launch of their Community Engagement Initiative aimed at active young people, families and youth organisations to share their views on climate change and pollution and how to create a more sustainable environment for all. The event will take place on the 5 October 2022 at the RMHC Learning Centre, Triq il-Wileġ, Qawra betwen 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

This event is part of the project ‘Together We Strive’, aimed at addressing social wellbeing and environmental safety challenges as well as the needs of local and migrant children, youths and their families, as the grassroots of Maltese society and thus an integral part of civil society.

The project promotes voluntary action among local and migrant youths and aims to stimulate co-operation and networking between voluntary organisations, encourage local and migrant youths and their families to overcome socio-cultural barriers and work together towards developing a sense of belonging, and foster a sense of friendship and inclusion while safeguarding the environment.

In line with the National Strategy for Volunteering 2020-2025, the project ‘Together we Strive’ addresses the strategy’s three pillars through the project’s activities. Furthermore, the project’s research component will enable the formulation of an evidence-based sustainability plan which will be developed at the end of this project.
