Business owner foils hold-up

A business owner situated in Msida foiled a hold-up at his office after an armed man entered the building asking for money.

The incident happened this morning at around 11am in Triq il-Makna tas-Serrar. According to the Police’s communications office, the man pointed a sharp instrument and demanded money.

The thief escaped from the scene but was soon caught by the business owner. The Police, notified of the botched hold-up, arrived on site and arrested the suspect.

“Nothing was stolen and no one was injured. Police investigations are still ongoing,” the Police said.
