A Spanish student was conditionally discharged after admitting responsibility for damaging a skylight whilst under the influence of alcohol.
22-year-old Jose Vicente Garcia Sorano appeared before Magistrate Gabriella Vella accused of climbing on to the roof of a St Julians apartment building and damaging the €2000 skylight, after having too much to drink.
He was also accused of being drunk in public.
Sorano was conditionally discharged for a year after he admitted to the charges and paid for the damages he caused during the sitting.
Inspector Trevor Micallef prosecuted. Lawyer Anthony Cutajar was legal aid.
