UHM registers industrial complaint with OPM

The government employees section of the Union Haddiema Maqghudin, registered an industrial dispute with the Management and Personnel Office, with regards to the workers working at the Internal Audit and Investigations (Cabinet Office).

This dispute resulted after the Union asked for a copy of the agreement done by the Government in 2009 with regards to the Auditors. “We have now been waiting for an exaggerated amount of time to be given an answer for the request made by the Union on May 26, 2010,” Edwin Balzan, secretary of the government employees section, said.

Balzan warned that this complaint should serve as a notice before the same union starts taking necessary actions to safeguard the interest of these workers. “This is being done in light of the infringement of directive number four, of the Consolidated Service Quality Standards,” Balzan said.
