Update | Man seriously injured in Luqa crash, airport road closed

The man reportedly lost control of his Maruti car, crossed the centre strip and crashed into a tree in Council of Europe Road, Luqa.

Civil Protection personnel were called to the scene to assist paramedics to extract the injured driver from the wreckage of his car. His condition has been described as serious.

A police statement said that the Council of Europe Road in Luqa has been re-opened for traffic.
