ARMS Ltd proposal for Malta Post to read meters
ARMS Ltd has been in talks with Malta Post and reportedly pushed a proposal for postmen to start reading the water and electricity meters themselves whilst they are out distributing mail.
According to the weekly newspaper Torċa, the justification to why ARMS Ltd should ask a private company to do this work is still unknown.
A spokesperson for the General Workers’ Union has confirmed these talks between ARMS Ltd and Malta Post. In comments to the newspaper he said Malta Post’s only reaction was that “the idea is still in its initial phase.”
