This week, the programme Reporter will once again discuss two separate subjects. In the first half of the programme, discussion will focus on the role of the Church in Malta. After the break, discussion will switch to the ALS disease, the awareness of which has become a global phenomenon.

Saviour Balzan’s guests for the first half of the programme will be Professor Victor Axiaq, Head of the Church’s Environment Commission, and Dun Gorg Dalli.

Criticism against the Church's leadership was raised in the past few weeks. Balzan and his guests will discuss why church attendance amongst the faithful has dropped. Is the church experiencing a leadership crisis or not?

In the second half of the programme, discussion will switch to the recent ALS Ice Bucket phenomenon. In just a few days, awareness of the ALS disease has managed to spread all over the world. Balzan will speak to Parliamentary Secretary for Health Chris Fearne. Fearne will explain what the disease is and how awareness of it spread thanks to social media.

Reporter is produced and presented by Saviour Balzan, assisted by journalist Frederick Attard.
